What my clients say

Namali Owuru | EMEA Finance Director, Kantar (Profiles)

I first started working with Alison a few years ago when I had been promoted to a Senior Leadership role and was struggling with imposter syndrome and a fear of presenting to large groups. Alison was quick to understand the problem, coming up with a detailed action plan which we implemented together over the next few months.

Alison’s years of experience and accreditations in the field really shine through when you work with her. She employs a wide variety of techniques, teaching and guidance from breathing techniques and visualisation, to body language, and a whole host of psychological techniques.

Her non-judgemental, calm and encouraging approach made me realise it was ok to be out of my comfort zone. After each session, I was left feeling more confident, positive, and excited about the future.

Fast forward six months and I was not only able to present confidently but also received extensive positive feedback from the Senior Leadership Team and the wider business, leading to be recognised formally for being an inspirational woman in leadership.

I continue to work with Alison to this day and would highly recommend her to anyone needing help with their career. She really does go above and beyond with her mentoring, teaching and guidance and working with Alison will not be a decision you regret.

K Scapens | Senior Executive of Career Development, EMAL – Emirates Aluminium

With Accrete’s help, we have successfully rolled out 10 development centres, using a combination of psychometric tools and personality tests to identify individual key strengths and leadership potential within our organisation.

This has been a challenging task given the scale of EMAL and our limited time frame, taking full account of our organisational culture and operational needs. Accrete’s team has been supportive throughout the project and Alison has always been on hand to offer support and professional guidance. Her knowledge and experience of different organisational cultures and psychometrics has been paramount in making this particular process a success.

Alison has an ability to make a very complex subject manageable and understandable. I look forward to working with them (Accrete) again and have no hesitation in recommending them.

I have worked with Alison on a number of occasions, assessing and selecting for the Agency, and never cease to be amazed by her skills as an assessor and ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in candidates.

James Y

Alison gave a great deal of time helping me prepare for a career in the fire service. Her time and effort stood me in great stead for the various selection stages. She was always happy to help and gave me constructive advice.

Alison is such a positive and caring person I couldn’t have gone through the whole selection process which took months, without her help and guidance. Because of her advice and input I was accepted into the fire service on my first attempt.

Sarah Young | Therapist

Over the years I have worked with Alison and sort her guidance when I am having problems understanding why people are doing why they do.

Her knowledge, experience and ability to understand other people has helped me understand my client’s problems, needs and goals and on a personal level her wisdom has helped me understand people within my personal life which has helped me react in a more understanding, tolerant, positive and non-judgemental way towards them.

Alison asks pertinent questions which then challenge my perceptions and she has the ability to bring out my thoughts in a clearer and focussed way.

She has an amazing ability to simplify complex thought processes and provides a path through.

Clare Smith | Advice and Guidance Practitioner, Higher Education, University of Cambridge, UK

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the Assertiveness Training Part I and the Assertiveness Part II (Reflective Practice) course I attended recently.

Both Trainers were very engaging and knowledgeable and I found it to be an extremely informative and beneficial session, making me think about how I deal with difficult students. The session drew on examples tailored to the kind of work I do, and allowed for group discussion which was very helpful.

I feel that since having undertaken this work I am able to reflect better on my practice. I would definitely recommend you!

E Wakeling | Associate Lecturer Services Manager, The Open University

Thank you so much for such a fun, interesting and useful workshop. A number of my team members came to me afterwards to say how much they enjoyed it and that they could have carried on for longer. Maybe it should last a whole day instead of a half day next time!

The materials you provided are fantastic and excellent to refer back to. The workshop was such a useful opportunity to share what we’ve been going through, and have the space and time to talk meaningfully about both our work lives and our personal lives. You provided us with a safe space for reflection and sharing. I would recommend you without hesitation.

Sarah Graham | Strategic Services Manager – Redbridge Council

I found her very approachable and personable.

Her analysis of the results was spot on and she really helped me to look a bit deeper into some of my strengths and weaknesses to identify improvements. I would definitely recommend her services again for this kind of work (360 analysis).
